I haven't had any software issues yet, though switching between apps on CarPlay is a little sluggish. In general, I enjoy listening to the radio. This is, in my opinion, the best option if you do not need to make a "special connection" like I did and do not want to spend a lot of money.

br>br>The touch screen is responsive, but you may need to learn how to press in a specific way in order for it to work properly. In general, the product is excellent the interface is clean and intuitive, the sound is impressive, Apple CarPlay works flawlessly, the rear camera and display are both excellent I have nothing negative to say about any of these features.
Having said that, I highly recommend this product however, because my situation was unique, I cannot guarantee that it will be the same for you. I'm not sure if my Soundstream's SWC connector was damaged. Regrettably, I had no choice but to return the Soundstream. I spoke with the kit's manufacturer and tried everything he suggested, but I couldn't get it to work. br>br>Unfortunately, there was no way to communicate with the Soundstream via the SWC.
The Steering Wheel Control (SWC) was the most important feature for me. A small computer is included in the kit to replace the system found in the original stereo, as well as the air conditioner and other items.

However, because I own a Camaro, I must first install an aftermarket kit before using this equipment.
This product has a lot of features that I like, such as good sound, a nice interface, and a DVD player. br>br>If the call quality had been better when connected to carplay, I might have kept this stereo and ignored the other issues.īut. I won't be able to, so I'll return this stereo and spend a little more. It's a great buy if you can put up with the quirks I mentioned. br>br>I really don't think this radio is worth your money. The temperature was only 34 degrees Fahrenheit, and it isn't even winter. I understand that some electronics won't turn on if the temperature drops too low, but it took my stereo 25 minutes to turn on one morning. The time remained fine, but the date would not stay current, which was inconvenient. The date on the stereo kept switching to one day ahead every 3 or 4 hours. Carplay worked fine for music, but not for phone calls. To be heard, I'd have to unplug my phone and put it on speaker, which defeats the purpose of Apple carplay. I had to turn the volume all the way up to hear anyone, and then no one could hear me. br>When my phone was connected to Apple Carplay, call quality was terrible. br>br>All right, now for the bad news! br>Touchscreen is not very responsive I had to tap icons two or three times to get them to switch. The sound quality was good, but not better than the 9-year-old JVC it replaced, but I'm not an audiophile, and I'm happy if it sounds good. The picture from the backup camera is good, and I also connected the reverse wire from the stereo so that when I go into reverse, the screen switches to the camera image automatically. The radio reception is good, and I switched my Sirius SV300 adapter to stereo, which works well and has a few useful features.

On this stereo, Bluetooth works fantastically, and people on the other end of the line could clearly hear me. Along with Pandora, Spotify, and Itunes, I could use Apple maps, Google maps, and Waze. Carplay works well with my Apple iPhone 8, which I own. br>Using and navigating the stereo is a breeze. I'll begin with the positive and work my way down to the negative. 150 I'm ready to take it out and return it after about four days of use. The installation was simple, and I was able to add a backup camera to my 2008 Ford F-150. However, there are far too many bugs to contend with. This radio was something I really wanted to enjoy. There is a significant amount of work that needs to be done.
